Will you help me Step Up for Heart?

This August, I’m walking 7,000+ steps a day for 31 days to support Australians impacted by heart disease.

I need your help to make every step count. Your donation will help fund life-saving research and support for those affected by heart disease.

By joining me, you’re not only helping save lives – you’re also improving your own health. Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in Australia, and together we can make a difference.

I’m ready to Step Up for Heart. Will you help me raise funds and save lives? Please donate now.

Some Memories Are Clear…and Some, I Only Know Through Love ❤️

Saturday 9th Aug

This photo collage marks the beginning of my second chance at life.

The beach ones? Taken the day I was discharged from hospital after my cardiac arrest. Steve took me straight to the coast—he knows it’s my happy place. We watched the waves, wandered the shore, shared fish and chips, and watched the sun melt into the ocean. I don’t remember any of it. Not the sea, not the drive, not the sound of our voices. But I do know he made that day beautiful—for both of us.

The others are from recovery. That teddy bear was once my son’s, and during those long, sore days at home, it became my rib-splinting lifeline. CPR saved my life, but it also broke my ribs. Every sneeze, cough, or laugh hurt—but hugging that bear helped. With my kids so far away, it quietly held all the love I needed.

I look at these photos now and see how fragile I was… and how strong I’ve become.

This August, I’m walking at least 7,000 steps a day for the Heart Foundation to raise funds for research, care, and the people who save lives—just like mine was saved.

If you’ve ever loved someone with all your heart—or been brought back by the love of others—I hope you’ll walk beside me in spirit. Or sponsor a few of my steps. Every little bit helps
